California work ques.?

My job requires us to attend weekly meetings, even if we're not on the scheduel I know they are supposed to pay us for 2 hrs of this ( which they have never done) I recently heard this is illegal I live in california & have gone onto the websight for california laws but i cant find it anywhere can someone please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
