Customers constantly hitting on me, help!?
Hello all, what is a good way to tell a customer in a retail setting to pardon the grammer...but to "f" off. I've been working at my current job for about a month and a half now, and I don't mean to sound racist or anything but I am white and all the customers that have hit on my are black males. There's been a couple of them. We all wear a black polo and khakis as uniform, so it's not like I'm falling out of my shirt. I am curvy and I'm not unattractive, I have a boyfriend and am absolutely not interested in even entertaining these men's questions. What is the best way to tell them to go away while still being professional? I've had this one guy at one point try to catch a glimpse of my left hand to see if there was a ring, he discovered there wasn't after I tried not to display said hand and I get the "if there's no ring there, then there's no harm" and I've gotten the "Are you still married?" to which i look confused and say no because i've never been married, and then i get the "well whenever you dump your boyfriend i'll be waiting"...and then there's this dirty old black man that comes in and hits on me and another coworker...and he purposefully lets us walk in front of him and he makes dirty noises. Men are pigs. :-P Help me out though, I'm too nice of a person to be very blunt with them. I usually laugh and walk away shaking my head.
