Why did Bush not allow pictures but now the war dead can be photographed?

DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. – The Pentagon's 18-year ban on media covering the return of fallen U.S. service members ended with a solemn ceremony for the arrival of a flag-dd casket of an airman felled in Afghanistan. Bush would not allow freedom of the press and was able to hide the horror of the war from the American people.
