Can anyone answer these? physical science questions?

You need to know this yourself, so go to your book and look up the definitions. In synthesis, you usually wind up with a desired product. In a decomposition, a reactant is broken into two or more compounds. In a single replacement, ONE reactant replaces another in a reactant compound. In all these 3 eqtns, a redox process occurs; one or more reagent components is oxidized, and another is reduced. In double replacement, reactant components are swapped, but there are no redox rxns going on.
