What are these cramps about?!?

I had a hysterectomy about 8 years ago so no aunt flo isn't coming to visit and no I'm not pregnant. But for the last couple of days I have had dull cramps mainly in the front left but sometimes in the back right. At times it feels like a lit cigar is burning my insides. At this point I wish I could have a period to relieve these things!!! Any ideas as to what else it could be?
