Parents disagree with me on my social life..?

It seems that ever since i started high school, which was almost two years ago now , I have been continuously getting hounded on by my parents on how I'm not bringing friends over to hang out. The thing is that I DO bring friends over but it's usually one or two guys at a time and the whole list of people i bring over consists of maybe a total of 3 guys. I actually have many more casual friends at school but the thing is that my parents think i am socially ****** up or something because i'd rather do productive things online that increase my intellect like watching videos that concern social topics like athiesm and watching a progressive online news channel on youtube (which they already highly look down upon when it comes to me doing it ) . It's a constant head bashing contest and it pisses me off because majority of my small town community is just like the way my parents are ; closed minded and ignorant. That is the main reason i don't have many friends that go past the casual boundary. Does anyone have any advice ? I'm not socially awkward or anything of that sort i just don't have anything in common with kids at my school and my parents see my rationale and think it's ridiculous even though it should make perfect sence to them.
