How do you think believers perception of God has changed over the centuries?

Obviously, this answer depends upon who answers the question. For the person who believes the bible to be God's Word, his perception does not change with the ping of time. Hebrews 13:8 You can always count on Jesus. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever." For the person who does not know Jesus the Christ the Messiah as his Lord, he might say that he "believes in God", but this could simply mean that he, like demons, believes that God exists. It could also mean that he attempts to "live a good life or has high morals". Neither one's belief that God simply exists nor a good moral life will save anyone. Unless the person is "born again", he will not spend eternity with God. Unless Jesus is his Lord, Jesus will not defend him on the Day of Judgment. Again, the person who truly reads God's Word and spends time in prayer will believe the same about the Bible regardless of the time in history. God's Word remains the same throughout the centuries.
