Are grhoppers protein for my hamster?

I rarely go out and catch grhoppers and other little bugs for my hamsters jane loves grhopers and she will try to shuv it into her mouth when i go to grab it from her if she could growl i think she would. Are these halthy to the hamsters? I dont want to feed her something thats doing her harm or no good at all. sorry about typo its hard on ipod touch
